While swinging through the city, I also noticed that in the PS4 version, I got more motion blur. The shadows from buildings are more defined, and distant objects don’t provide realistic shadows instead, settling on less lighting coming into a specific location. In the PS4 version, the lighting is harder and bolder. Despite no ray-tracing, New York looks great and Miles Morales is another visual show-piece for the PS5 in its final year. You know? What's the Peter Parker story we're telling? What's the Miles Morales story that we're telling? But we always have to start with that. Pascal explained that the story at the core of each film comes before other aspects like villains are chosen for it, so the creative team "always to start with that," as at the end of the day, Spider-Man movies "are always just stories about a kid."
